The news of Android 5.1 Lollipop was announced by Motorola’s David Schuster on Google+ last Week.
David Schuster said "It is our pleasure to announce that we have started full deployment of the 5.1 Android Lollipop upgrade for Moto X (1st Gen) for US Retail, Brazil Retail and Rogers in Canada."
The Android 5.1 Lollipop brings new features which includes Google's Material Design, a new notification popup that will appear on the lock screen,new display which will show relevant details when the phone's display is off, a new flashlight option.It also includes a menu for different Wi-Fi access points or paired Bluetooth devices, and a new battery settings option which will show how much time it take for unplug the charger when it charges completely or plug the charger when battery slows down or empty.
